Written last October, Business Week is saying that Jay Z is promoting a new champagne in his music videos - Armand de Brignac . Its probably just a dressed up, cheaper version of Cristal, though it has the makings of a major force in the champagne world if Jay Z continues to back it.

This is the same guy who started boycotting cristal, saying that the company's director made disparaging comments about hip hop.

I've never drank Cristal, but if I had the choice between that and Armand de Brignac, I'd definitely drink the former, just to get a taste of what all the guys in the Cribs videos were talking about.

It has been produced in France since the 1950's. Grapes from "Champagne" are so expensive now adays it is hard to find a wine not backed by a hot shot bank.
