I am becoming more and more intrigued with Washington State wine and decided to venture over to KandL and give the CMS blend a whirl. Very light and tight for the first half hour, but starts to open up over time leading to raw strawberry (not to be confused with regular strawberry) and yes - a whiff of straw. I also got a serious amount of dirt after a while, which is hard to find in an everyday red wine. I would not tell the world to seek out this bottle, but I think it is a perfect example of what Washington State wine has to offer.
